During his 45-year career in the film industry, Jamie directed numerous documentary films and television commercials in the UK, Europe, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Aceh, Sri Lanka, and the USA. His photographs have appeared in international publications and have been exhibited in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Noosa.
Jamie moved back to the UK in 2021 to be the sole carer for his mother, and then began a new career as a writer. In 2026, he published: An A-Z of Scotland... but not necessarily in the right order! and is currently writing a memoir: Between the Frames.

A documentary about Jimmy Pham, who decided to help a group of street kids in Vietnam by setting up KOTO, a restaurant and training school in Hanoi that provides work opportunities.
KOTO is an acronym for Know One Teach One.


AFTER THE WAVE: Writer-Director
A documentary about five people who were affected by the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004. They share their personal memories of what it was like for them on that fateful day when almost 230,000 people from more than a dozen countries died. It may be a distant memory for most of us, but for thousands of others, that date is etched in their minds forever.
